March 21 Show In Maumelle

Hey all....Texas Bandit here...any more info on the charity show being held on March 21 in Maumelle? That's the week of the kids' spring break and we've been looking for a good Dallas to somewhere mini-bandit run to do...plus, I have friends at the local Little Rock TV stations who might consider covering the event. Thanks for any info!!

Just so you'll know, this is not an all Pontiac show. That seems to be a common misconception. We'd love to run an all Pontiac show but I don't ever see that happening. There aren't enough around these parts who aren't members of the club to make a show for Pontiacs only work. There will be 20 or so of our club cars there as a display since we don't allow our cars to compete with those who attend the show. We do have a Pontiac specific award, our big "Best Pontiac In Show" so bring that bandit bad boy on!

We now have two members with 77 T/As - Dewayne and his slightly quicker than stock (read MUCH quicker) 77 bandit and an old friend of the club's, but new member Mark Osborne who debuted his new 77 bandit at the meeting Sunday. I think we need to park you all together - not something you see every day (at least not here).

Hey...that sounds awesome! We've got family to visit in NE Ark....and can probably make this happen! Although we may need to bring the mini-van along for the kids...Bandit had a mini-van later in life after he and Frog got hitched, didn't he? ha. Save a spot for the Texas BanOne!

I've also contacted by buddies at KARK Ch 4....they are sending a news crew out to cover the show...so let's all look our Bandit best!! I'll be the one with the blue jeans, red shirt and bandit cowboy hat....ha!

I forgot about your T/A Johnny - with the gears in that thing you could make it to Maumelle and back for half what towing the race car costs - and it would look cool with all those Black T/As! We might even park a certain yellow 78 next to you guys too!

Having a TV station out there would be great for our show - if that is what they told you, I may spread that around a little to convince some fence-sitters to bring there cars to our show.

I have asked most members to be there by 7AM.. .but since you live a little further than most - get there when you can.

And while I'd rather see the T/A, the Buick would be fine...but if you bring the T/A and stay overnight, you could go autocrossing again
