Toad Suck Car Show Sat, Aug 22nd

For those interested in going to the Toad Suck Car Show (the original in May was rained out), we will be meeting at the Cracker Barrel parking lot in Conway and LEAVING there at 7:30 AM (that's 6:30 AM for Tony). The show is at Pickles Gap, so parking may be at a preimium, which is why we are leaving so early.

There's a guy here in Locust Grove who has five currently.... he drives two, and I guess the other three are for parts. One looks like the rear end has been on fire.

It turns out Saturday night is Clunker Car night at the Trav's game. I think we should all go to the game and see if we can win a car!

Speaking of the Blocker's in that Chevelle, here's one from a photo shoot we did tonight for a possible spot on a calendar. The company that he buys his paint from does an annual calendar and asked for some shots to consider.

Hard to beat BFG TA tires on an old Muscle car they just look right....

Nice looking pic, Critter. I might've gone with the opposite tilt, but yours kinda works. Not to be critical since you know your way around a cam, and photog (especially cars) is a real interest of mine. That pic needs a few obvious (though easy) changes that I'm sure you're aware of.

Today I shot the red/black stripe 70 Chevelle that was at the PG/TS show on Saturday since it's going home tomorrow. Spent a lot of time fighting tangents (I was real good at positioning the car to get a perfect tangent almost every time ) and heavy sun , but they look okay on the small screen. Of course I left the cam/card at the shop.

I hear ya brother. I'm not great myself but am always trying to get better.

On your pic there, flip the RH visor up, lose the dice from the mirror, and I'm not crazy about the chopped blur of the background. Minor things, looks great otherwise.

Here's one that I took yesterday. Could've positioned the car better to avoid the near (might as well be one) tangent. Lighting was bad and inconsistent with the rain moving in. Bright sun to overcast and back every minute, plus an ugly/blank sky. The manual setting ranges on my cam are too limited to really make up for it, but that's something I'm still learning.

Ran like a top just until he was to take it home. Issue of popping through the carb right off idle came up quite suddenly It's not timing and it's not the power valve. Yanked the QJet off my GTO to try on it tomorrow. Hoping it's not drivetrain related (exhaust valve not opening correctly), unless something simple like a rocker arm
