Would you like to restore the luster to your corroded chrome parts? The answer may be as near as your kitchen drawer. This is a technique I picked up for polishing chrome using soap, water and aluminum foil. Results will vary so test on a small part first.

- We have a tarnished trim plate and some foil so let's begin!

- After a thorough rinsing we spray down the part with soap and water.

- Tear off small portions of foil and get the elbow grease working. Scrubbing is required.

- Working where there's a ready supply of water is a must. You'll be scrubbing and rinsing to see your progress.

- The before and after can be dramatic. This not a cure for pitted metal. Pot metal won't work. Only chrome.
